The Dharamshala stands in Panchavati, near Ramkund on the holy Godavari — the land where Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman spent part of their vanvas. Some of Nashik's most revered temples and ghats are a short walk away.

Named after its five sacred banyan trees (पंच वट), Panchavati is among the holiest places of Nashik. Ramkund on the Godavari is the heart of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, and the lanes around it are lined with ancient temples.
